Suzanne Smith

Attorney

Suzanne comes from a family legal tradition, following her uncle and grandfather, both attorneys, into the field. Her devotion to criminal law started before law school, working as a legal intern in the Erie County Public Defender's Office. After being admitted to the PA Bar in 1992, she clerked for Judge John C. Uhler in York County, then joined the York County Public Defender's Office in 1993, where she handled everything from misdemeanor to felony to death penalty trials, eventually rising to First Assistant Public Defender, supervising and training junior attorneys. She also taught law classes at York College.
